The traditional Saltillo blankets were made in the Mexican state of Coahuila in northeastern Mexico near the city of Saltillo. This blanket consists of a dark base of red with bands of yellow, orange, red, blue, green, and pink with fringed ends. The technique to make stunning blankets has been passed on through the generations and it is hard to find two authentic blankets woven exactly the same.
